Our coaches don’t just teach the game — they’ve lived it. They lead with standards, relationships, and a genuine love for developing athletes.
Lead Coaches
The people in your corner

Neave Hancock-Wolf
A graduate of the Nunawading Spectres junior program and a former Youth League Defensive Player of the Year, Neave coaches with the intensity and team-first mentality that defined her own game. Back from three ACL reconstructions, she brings hard-earned resilience — and a real joy for the game — to every athlete she works with.

Ben Corrigan
With five years of coaching behind him and a lifelong passion for the game, Ben has coached at nearly every level — from VJBL junior boys to BigV Youth League. His focus goes beyond the scoreboard: helping athletes grow not only into better players, but into good people.
At Hardwood Culture, athletes don’t just train — they take ownership. Coaching here starts with trust and strong relationships; from there, we challenge, refine, and elevate.

Uche Dibiamaka
With five years of NCAA basketball and a pro career across the NBL1, Europe and India, Uche brings elite-level experience to every session. He coaches what took him from a five-year-old with a ball to the pro ranks — perseverance, mental toughness, discipline and consistency — helping athletes build the habits and skills to reach their goals.

Justin Holman
Justin brings nearly 15 years of coaching across domestic and representative basketball, primarily with U12–14 athletes. His philosophy centres on development, confidence and strong decision-making — treating mistakes as part of learning. He builds a positive environment where effort, teamwork and good basketball decisions are celebrated, helping young athletes grow a lifelong love for the game.

Mat Jelley
A recognised leader within the Basketball Victoria pathway, Mathew is a State Development Coach known for producing disciplined, skilled and resilient athletes. His extensive VJBL representative experience across boys’ and girls’ programs reflects a consistent commitment to preparing players for state, youth league and senior opportunities.

Jacob Lacchiana
For me, coaching is about helping athletes reach their full potential on and off the court. I pride myself on a challenging, improvement-based environment where players build a reliable skill base and the habits that lead to long-term success — driven by a passion for the details of the game.
